Mrs. Cynthia Davis Cantrell, age 62, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Wednesday evening (3/13/19) at UF Health Jacksonville following an extended illness.

Born October 27, 1956 in Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Hattie Higginbotham Davis.  She was raised in Jacksonville and Alabama and moved to Brantley County for a few years before moving back to Jacksonville where she had lived for the past 30 years. She had worked as a beautician and for Goodwill.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Alvin Cantrell of Jacksonville; a step-son, Tony Cantrell (wife Rachel) of Statesboro; 2 step-granddaughters, Lily and Michelle Cantrell of Statesboro; 2 brothers, Danny Davis (wife Mary Ann) and Clifford Davis, Jr., both of Birmingham; 2 nieces, Angie Hancock (husband Jeff) of Dacula, GA and Maegan Lyons (husband Aaron) of Kimberly, AL; a brother-in-law, Jimmy Cantrell (wife Shirley) of Patterson; and several other relatives.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday (3/16/19) at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Alvin, I was so sorry to get the newspaper on Friday and see the announcement
about Cynthia. I didn't know anything about it...If I can do anything for you
please let me know......
