Mr. Aaron Larry Griffin, age 66, of Patterson passed away Tuesday afternoon (9/28/21) at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup following a short illness.
Born July 11, 1955 in Blackshear, he was a son of the late Aaron William and Agnes Crosby Griffin. He lived most of his life in Pierce County and was a 1973 graduate of Patterson High School. He had worked for Miliken for 20 years and had also worked for UEI in Patterson.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, attended Men of the Way Bible Study, and a proud member of the Republican Party.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers, his twin, Lannis Griffin, Donald Griffin, Ronald Griffin, Morrin Griffin, and Glen Griffin.
Survivors include his two sons, Mark Griffin of Patterson and Eric Griffin of Blackshear; 5 grandchildren, Aaron Griffin (wife Angel) of Waresboro, Cana Davis of Baxley, Shaylynn Griffin of Patterson, Kylie Grifin of Blackshear, and Olivia Griffin of Patterson; 3 great grandchildren, Lillie Griffin, Braxton Henderson, and Baylor Griffin; 2 sisters, Beatrice Blalock of Monteagle, TN and Janice Evans (husband Larry) of Argyle; 3 brothers, Clinton Griffin of Waycross, Kenneth Griffin (wife Marie) of Waycross, and Jerry Griffin (wife Susie) of Patterson; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will take place Friday morning (10/1/21) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the New Home Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
