Allen Colley

Mr. James Allen Colley, age 41, of Patterson, passed away Saturday afternoon (8/8/20) at his residence following a short illness.

Born August 20, 1978 in Blackshear, he was a son of Gary Wayne and June Reagon Colley.  He lived most of his life in Pierce County and was a 1997 graduate of Pierce County High School. He was the ace pitcher for the Pierce County Bears baseball team for several years, and was known for his 90 mph fastball.  He was employed with Underground Pipeline Rehabilitation (UPR), Inc in Patterson and was a member of Offerman Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Eula Murray; paternal grandparents, Ottis and Inez Colley; aunts and uncles, Diane and Junior Johnson, Shirel Colley and Joe Carmichael, and James Boatright.

Survivors include his 3 children, Daylon Colley of Patterson, Blake Colley of Byron, GA, and Sheyenne Colley of Perry, GA; his parents, Gary and June Colley of Patterson; his brother and sister-in-law, Cary and Shelly Colley of Patterson; nieces and nephews, Taylor Colley and Alivia Colley, both of Patterson and Sierra Barecky and Dylan Barecky, both of Byron; the mother of his children, Stephanie Oliver of Perry; aunts and uncles, Teraina and Jerrid Ragsdale, Tommy and Patsy Colley, and Edward and Carol Colley, all of Patterson; several great uncles and aunts; and many cousins and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place Friday (8/14/20) at 3 p.m. at Offerman Baptist Church. 

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service.
