Amanda Lowmon Obituary

Mrs. Amanda Sue Lowmon, age 39, of Offerman, passed away Sunday evening (7/4/21) at Memorial Hospital in Savannah from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born January 27, 1982 in Waycross, she was a daughter of William Morgan Lowmon and Kathy Sue Melton Lowmon. She had lived all of her life in Pierce County and was a 2000 graduate of Pierce County High School. She had worked as a sitter for the elderly and as a clerk at the Dollar Tree.  She had attended Bristol Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Kenneth Lavoid Lowmon and Nola Mae Thomas Lee and her maternal grandparents, James Lamar Melton and Betty Lee Herrin.

Survivors include her two sons, Anthony Michael Vasquez and Matthew Dylan Vasquez, both of Offerman; her mother, Kathy Sue Melton Lowmon of Blackshear; her father, William Morgan Lowmon of Blackshear; a brother, William Morgan Lowmon II of Blackshear; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday morning (7/15/21) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bristol Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
