Amanda Misel Zink

Ms. Amanda Misel Zink, age 43, of Blackshear, passed away Thursday afternoon (12/16/21) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following a short illness.

Born January 1, 1978 in Columbia, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late William Edward Zink and Rita Louise Misel Shaeffer. She grew up and lived in Columbia and Wrightsville, PA until moving to Blackshear in 2005. She had worked in the food industry and also at Wall’s IGA in the Deli Department.  She was currently working for American Egg Company and was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her step-father, David Shaeffer of Blackshear; 3 children, Britany Allen of Waycross, Karl Veach of Blackshear, and Tyler Veach of Blackshear; 2 grandchildren, Clyde Allen and Caine Allen, both of Waycross; 3 sisters, Krissie Zink, Megan Zink, and Rita Zink, all of PA; a brother, Billy Zink of PA; and several other relatives.

A private memorial service will be held in the coming days.
