Annette (Melton) Walker

Mrs. Annette Melton Walker, age 65, of Patterson, passed away Tuesday morning (10/17/23) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following a short illness.

Born September 6, 1958, in Blackshear, she was a daughter of the late Albert Mitchell and Martha Elizabeth Groover Melton. She lived all her life in Pierce County and was a longtime housewife. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Owen Walker; 4 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law, James Albert Melton (wife Nora), Robert Melton, Charlton Melton (wife Bea), and Rudolph Melton; 2 brothers-in-law, Robert Sullivan and Gus Spradley; and a sister-in-law, Dawn Melton.

Survivors include her daughter, Mandy Walker of Blackshear; 2 grandchildren, Erica Walker of Blackshear and Jade Sharpe (wife Karlee) of Waycross; 4 sisters, Marlene Sullivan, Mildred Moore, Debbie Melton, all of Blackshear and Linda Spradley of Patterson; 1 brother, Stevie Melton of Blackshear; 2 sisters-in-law, Sue Jean Melton and Martha Melton, both of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon (10/20/23) at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service.
