Belinda (McHale) Steedley
May 19, 1963 ~ October 11, 2022 (age 59) 59 Years Old
Mrs. Belinda McHale Steedley, better known as Suzy, age 59, of Waycross, passed away Tuesday night (10/11/2022) at her residence.
Born May 19, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Henry Joseph McHale and Roberta Donner. After living most of her life in Jacksonville, she moved to Waycross to be closer to her family. Suzy enjoyed spending time with family and loved hugs from her granddaughter. She had an amazing green thumb; she could revive any plant or flower you gave her and was often asked to do just that. She loved to listen to classic rock music, take care of her fish and aquarium, assemble puzzles, and really loved classic muscle cars. For those that really knew Suzy and her story, her daughter, Decia, would like you to find comfort and peace in the fact that Suzy gave her life to the Lord several years back and is now healed of the sickness that consumed most of her life this side of Heaven.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Froat, and father-in-law, Marvin Reed.
Survivors include her two daughters, Brandy Adams of Woodbine and Decia Carter (Chris) of Bristol; 1 grandchild, Emma Carter; sister, Linda Lowman of Bristol; brother, J.R. McHale (Loyce) of Bristol; father of her children, Gerald R. Howell of Starke, FL; stepmother, Susie McHale of California; mother-in-law, Marion Reed of Blackshear; her 2 best friends, Melody Mitchell and Drema Gardner, both of Jacksonville; her bonus daughter, LaDonna Crump of Mershon, and several other relatives.
A memorial service will take place Monday (10/17/22) at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
