Miss Bella Grace Bennett, age 5, of Blackshear, passed away early Monday morning (8/30/21) at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida from injuries sustained in an accident.
Bella was born September 14, 2015 in Brunswick and had lived most of her life in Blackshear. She was a Kindergarten student at Blackshear Elementary School and loved school.
She also loved animals, especially horses. She loved pretending to be a cowgirl and wearing cowgirl boots. She enjoyed music and watching cartoons, but especially enjoyed playing with her older sister, Lylah.
Survivors include her mother, Bobbie Ann Bennett of Alto, GA; her grandmother and poppy, Lorie Lee and Orlando Garcia of Blackshear; her grandfather, Bobby Bennett (wife Willa Jean) of Douglas; 2 sisters, Kylie Beth Lachney of Port Arthur, Texas and Lylah Sarah Medinahuerta of Blackshear; aunt, Melissa Smith of Waycross; 3 uncles, Frank Bennett (wife Darlene) of Douglas, Rev. George Bennett (wife Bethany) of Douglas, and Jeremiah Bennett of West Virginia; a special great aunt, Cindy Morgan of Waycross; and many cousins and other relatives.
A funeral service will take place Saturday morning (9/4/21) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with Rev. George Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackshear City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
