Bert Norman Hickox

Mr. Bert Norman Hickox, age 81, of Pensacola, Florida (formerly of Fernandina Beach, Florida), passed away Monday morning (11/16/20) at the Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

Born June 30, 1939, in Patterson, GA, he was a son of the late Joseph Washington and Viola Walker Hickox.  He had attended Patterson High School and then moved to Florida, where he lived for most of his life. 

Survivors include his son, Bert Hickox, Jr. of Fernandina Beach, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jana Haga, Casey Hickox, and Matthew Hickox, all of Fernandina Beach; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Freida (Earl) Woodcock of Jesup and Faye Sauls of Yulee, FL; brothers, James (Betty Lou) Hickox and Wiley (Lucy) Hickox, both of Yulee, FL, Thomas Hickox and Robert Hickox, both of Patterson, Middie (Dana) Hickox of Jesup, and Claude (Kathryn) Hickox of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A graveside funeral service will take place Sunday (11/22/20) at 2 p.m. at New Home Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
