Brenda Sue (Smith) Herrin

Mrs. Brenda Sue Smith Herrin, age 71, of Blackshear, passed away late Thursday night (3/28/24) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born October 6, 1952, in Waycross, she was a daughter of the late Jessie Mack and Clara Ruth Boyd Smith. She grew up in Manor and was a 1970 graduate of Clinch County High School.  After living in Waycross for a few years, she moved to Blackshear in 1977. She was a longtime housewife and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Dwight Herrin of Blackshear; 2 children, Jason Herrin and Nikki Smith (husband Scott), both of Blackshear; 4 grandchildren, Jake Herrin, Eric Smith, Carter Smith, and Brett Smith, all of Blackshear; 1 great granddaughter, Lynnie Smith; 2 brothers, Michael Smith (wife Cathy) of Jacksonville, FL and Travis Smith (wife Sally) of Valdosta; many loved nieces and nephews; and several other relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
