Cecil Davis

Mr. Cecil Davis, age 79, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday night (2/22/2025) at HCA Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness.

Born October 9, 1945, in Ware County, he was a son of the late Johnny Davis and Ruth Ann Hogan Davis. He lived most of his life in Ware and Pierce Counties and had worked as a carpenter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Faye Davis; and siblings, Ruth Lyons, Angeline Corbitt, Jasper Davis, Edward Davis, and Benny Lyons.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Davis of Blackshear; 6 daughters, Jean Turner of Cobbtown, Kara Heath of Blackshear, Liza Davis and Elouise Davis, both of Waycross, and Marie Davis and Tonya Siffles, both of Alma; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Elmer Davis and Marvin Davis (wife Jeanette), both of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
