Christopher Levi Chaney

Mr. Christopher Levi Chaney, age 37, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday morning (10/25/25) at his residence.

Born June 24, 1988, in Savannah, Georgia, he lived all his life in Pierce County and was a 2006 graduate of Pierce County High School.  He had worked as an electrician with Arrowhead Electric and Systems, LLC.

He was preceded in death by his Papa, Truman Lester Chaney and his grandfather, Travis Davis.  His father, Virgil Lester Chaney, also passed away on Saturday morning.

Survivors include his mother, Tereasa Chaney of Blackshear; sister, Kaitlyn Storm Chaney of Jacksonville, Florida; niece, Zara Murray of Blackshear; Nana, Jenetha Strickland Chaney of Blackshear; Grandmother, Linda Howell of Waycross; aunts and uncles, Bryan Chaney of Blackshear, Karen Bowen Patterson of Blackshear, James T. "Jasper" Davis (wife Cathy) of Blackshear, and D’won Davis of Waycross; his second mom, Aundria Deal of Blackshear; and several other relatives.

A funeral service will take place Friday afternoon (10/31/25) at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Enon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service.
