Clara Mae (Yates) Prince

Mrs. Clara “Yates” Prince, age 90, of Waycross, was called Home by her Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon May 6, 2023.

She was born April 27, 1933, in Tyronza, Arkansas to the late Walter and Mary Densman Yates. She was a faithful member of the Bono Church of Christ since 1964 until she moved to Waycross, Ga in 2017 and placed her membership with the Northside Church of Christ.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Juneis Prince, son, Wayne Prince, and sister, Sallie Longcrier-Duty.

Survivors include her daughter Vickie Cain and son-in-law Charles of Blackshear, GA, 2 daughters-in-law, Debbie Prince of Norman Park, GA and Melody Prince of Leesburg, GA; 6 grandchildren, Dustin Weir of Perry, GA, Daniel Weir of Hawkinsville, GA, Mary Prince Hobgood of Norman Park, GA, Ashley Prince Crenshaw of Montgomery, AL, Juneis Wayne Prince Jr. of Leesburg, GA, and Kirstie Prince of Leesburg, GA;  four great grandsons and five great granddaughters. In Arkansas, she leaves behind her brother, Larry Stevenson and sister-in-law Sharon, and niece and nephew, Donna and Ron Sylvia; and many family and friends whose lives she touched.

She will be laid to rest in a graveside service on Friday, May 12th at 2 p.m. at the Pinelog Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Cain, Dustin Weir, Daniel Weir, Juneis Prince Jr., Andrew Crenshaw, Jason Hobgood, Kameron Prince, and Kolby Prince.
