Mr. Dale Van Reeves, age 62, of Blackshear, passed away early Monday morning (5/17/21) at his residence following an extended illness.
Born April 5, 1959 in Vero Beach, Florida, he was a son of the late Emanuel Joel and Shirley Ann Goodman Reeves. He grew up in Richmond, Virginia and lived most of his life in Waycross. He was a retired plumber from Master Plumbing in Waycross and was a member of Liberty Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Reeves; a sister, Krissy Weaver; a brother, Emanuel Joel Reeves; and 2 grandsons, Mason West and Justin James.
Survivors include his wife, Alene Driggers Reeves of Blackshear; 5 children, Anita Albritton of Waycross, Danielle Sapp of Waycross, Carl West (wife Samantha) of Blackshear, Jay West of Blackshear, and John Paul Van Winkle of Reidsville; his brothers and sisters, Robert Reeves (wife Becky) of Mississippi, Wendy Bates (husband Tom) of Iowa, Wayne Reeves (wife Gayla) of Jesup, Karen Elliott (husband Heath) of Donalsonville, Lee Lee Lambert (wife Peggy) of Donalsonville, and Curtis Lambert of Albany; a bonus daughter, Laila James (husband Kevin) of Waycross; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A memorial service will take place at a later date at Liberty Christian Church in Waycross.
