Mr. Danny Lamar Hollaway, age 62, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday morning (2/4/25) at his residence following an extended illness.
Born June 3, 1962, in Blackshear, he was a son of the late Robert Lamar and Waunell Dortha Hollaway. He lived all his life in Pierce County and was a logger with ET Logging.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Rozier.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Youmans Hollaway of Blackshear; 2 sons, Kevin Deen (wife Tammy) of Woodbine and Randall Carter of Blackshear; a daughter, Gina Hollaway of Patterson; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Linda Cooper (husband Buck) of Patterson and Dawn Kirkland of Blackshear; his special support companions, Prissy and Big Boy; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will take place Friday morning (2/7/25) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Waters Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service.
