Mrs. Darleen Justice Gay, age 78, of Blackshear, passed away Friday afternoon (1/19/2024) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following an extended illness.
Born February 21, 1945, in Waycross, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Olin and Amy Irene Justice. She lived all her life in Ware and Pierce Counties and was a longtime housewife.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wayne Gay; and 2 brothers, Tommy Justice and Ottis Justice.
Survivors include her 5 children, Janice Gay (husband Wendell) of Blackshear, Brenda Guy of Patterson, Christine Moore of Folkston, Thomas Wayne Gay, Jr. of Blackshear, and Kathy Branson (husband Scott) of Brunswick; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
