Donald Edward Crawford, Sr.

Mr. Donald Edward Crawford, Sr., age 62, of Blackshear, passed away Friday afternoon (3/8/2024) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House following an extended illness.

Born September 15, 1961, in Jesup, Georgia, he was a son of the late Ivan Jackie Crawford, Sr. and Annie Pearl Burke Crawford. He was a 1979 graduate of Waycross High School and lived most of his life in Pierce County. He had worked at Wal-Mart in Waycross, Food Lion in Alma, and Piggly Wiggly in Blackshear.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Gail Cribbs Crawford; and a brother, Ivan Crawford, Jr.

Survivors include his 2 sons, Donald E. Crawford, Jr. (Caitlyn) and David Crawford (wife Breanna), both of Blackshear; 4 grandchildren, Cierra Nicole Crawford of Waycross, and Eli Crawford, Laura Crawford, and Emmory Crawford, all of Blackshear; 1 sister, Joyce Sapp of Blackshear; 1 brother, Danny Crawford (wife Betty Ann) of Odum; his in-laws, Bruce and Ruby Cribbs, Sr. of Hilliard, FL; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will take place Tuesday evening (3/12/24) at 5 p.m. at St. John’s Community Church in Blackshear.
