Douglas Edwin Cannon

Mr. Douglas Edwin Cannon, age 66, of Blackshear, passed away early Thursday morning (10/10/2024) at his residence following an extended illness.

Born July 27, 1958, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Richard B. Cannon and Nancy Woodard Cannon Boyd. He lived in Washington D.C. and Maryland for a few years before moving to Pierce County in the mid-1980’s. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Lucinda Cannon and Laura MacDermid.

Survivors include his two daughters, Jennifer Hale (husband Tyler) and Nina Murray (husband Ron), both of Blackshear; a niece, Drew Schmehl of Jacksonville, FL.; and several other friends and relatives.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
