Edith Ann (Thorne) Bennett

Mrs. Edith Ann Thorne Bennett, age 91, of Patterson, passed away Tuesday afternoon (9/12/2023) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born July 22, 1932, in Offerman, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Vera Marie Russ Thorne. She was raised in Pierce County and had lived most of her life living half the year in Offerman and the other half in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was a longtime housewife and a member of Offerman Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Gene Bennett; a son, Bronze Bennett; and all her siblings.

Survivors include her son, Travis Randolph Bennett of Offerman; daughter, Travis Ann Babb of Fayetteville NC; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several other relatives.

A private funeral service will take place with burial following in the Offerman Cemetery.
