Elizabeth Nell (Kicklighter) Williams

Mrs. Elizabeth Nell Kicklighter Williams, age 92, of Blackshear, passed away Monday evening (12/27/21) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born April 22, 1929 in Glenville, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Henry Forsyth and Euvalee Barber Kicklighter. She grew up in Tattnall County and in Savannah and moved to Blackshear following marriage. She worked at the Blackshear Newstand and at Tastee Freeze, but she and her family were the longtime owners of Odean’s Family Foods.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and attended the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Layman Odean Williams; a great granddaughter, Kerrigan Elyse Wright; her sister, Gencie Turner; and her brother, Henry Kicklighter.

Survivors include her 5 children, Danny Williams (wife Kathy), Lanny Williams (wife Cindy), Lynn Taylor (husband Joe), Randy Williams (wife Lisa), and Teri Williams, all of Blackshear; 12 grandchildren, Heather Williams, David Williams (wife Mynette), Justin Williams (wife Nicole), Laura Lee Williams, Stephen Taylor (wife Morgan), Lindy Wright (husband Blake), Dixon Williams, Olivia Williams, Lucas Williams (wife Seirra), Devin Williams, Clay Williams, and Chris Callahan (wife Heather); her great grandchildren, Sydney Strickland, Shelby Sloan (husband Kyle), Savannah Strickland, Jackson Williams, Laney Williams, Tyler Williams, Baily Williams, Mollie Williams, Cash Williams, Lily Gray Wright, Jaxson Wright, Ryan Davis, Rolston Taylor, Ryker Taylor, Ryleigh Taylor, Trenton Carter, Rlen Carter, Carson Williams, Oaklynn Williams, Reagan Teabo, Addison Teabo, Sophia Williams, and McKinley Williams; 1 great-great grandson, Asher Lewis and a great-great granddaughter expected soon; special friend, Robert Westberry of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A graveside funeral service will take place Thursday (12/30/21) at 2 p.m. at the Blackshear City Cemetery.
