Emory Skinner Obituary

Mr. Emory Kelly Skinner, age 83, of Blackshear, passed away Friday evening (2/26/21) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross following an extended illness.

Born April 4, 1937 in Adrian, Georgia, he was a son of the late Rosier and Hettie Harrell Skinner. He had lived in various cities throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama but lived in Blackshear the past 26 years. He was retired as a Salesman and District Manager for Gulf Life Insurance and was a member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie DeLoach Skinner.

Survivors include his 4 children, Pat Skinner Griffin of Waycross, Joe Skinner (wife Janice) of Waycross, Kelley Mansfield (husband Scott) of Newnan, GA, and Michael Skinner (wife Emily) of Gainesville, VA; grandchildren, Rachel Raulerson, Seth Mansfield, Jade Skinner, Sydney Mansfield, Harrison Skinner, Bryson Skinnner, Ella Skinner, and Lincoln Skinner; great grandchildren, Lora Renee Davis, Tanner Zachary Bryant, and Julia Faith Bryant; great great grandson, Andrew Garrett Davis; sister, Anne Martin of Gainesville, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A private family service will take place in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Boatright officiating.
