Mrs. Fannie “Annette” Dixon Earle, age 87, of Blackshear, passed away Monday morning (7/24/23) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House following an extended illness.
Born July 22, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Tom S. and Miram Crews Dixon. She grew up in Pierce County and then moved to Massachusetts for about 10 years before moving to Fleming Island, Florida where she lived for 46 years. She returned to Pierce County in 2020 and had been a longtime housewife.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, William Earle; 3 sisters, Iris Jones, Carolyn Shuman Sapp, and Frances Dixon Crews; and a brother, Thomas E. Dixon.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Edward Hyde “Pete” Earle, Jr. of Blackshear; 3 children, Terry Earle (wife Karen) of Lillington, N.C., Pamela Earle of St. Augustine, FL, and Tommy Earle of Blackshear; 5 grandchildren, Amy Levasseur, Samantha Clark, Aubree Kandl, Kayla Kandl, and Morgan Payne; 2 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Sammy Dixon (wife Nancy) of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A memorial service will take place on Friday (7/28/23) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
