George Andrew Lovell

Mr. George Andrew Lovell, age 38, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning (9/6/20) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following a short illness.

Born July 22, 1982, he was a son of Ronnie Washington Lovell, Sr. and the late Mildred Stone Lovell.  He had lived all of his life in Blackshear and was a graduate of Pierce County High School. He had been employed at Piggly Wiggly in Blackshear.

Survivors include his father, Ronnie Lovell, Sr. of Blackshear; sister, Susie Massey (husband Fred) of Blackshear; 2 brothers, Ronnie Lovell, Jr. (wife Melissa) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Matt Lovell of Blackshear; 8 nieces and nephews, Ashley Barry (husband Michael) of Hartwell, GA, Joe Prince (wife Destiny) of Townsend, GA, Amber Massey of Douglas, Stephanie Godwin and Marcus Godwin, both of Florida, and Blaze, Ryder, and Olivia Lovell, all of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; 3 great nieces, Evelyn Barry and Amara Barry, both of Hartwell, and Elizabeth Prince of Townsend; aunts and uncles, Yvonne Murphy of Blackshear, Earl and Roselyn Lovell of Blackshear, Mitchell and Gloria Lovell of Sylvester, Barbara Crawford of Bristol, Pat Corbitt of Waycross, Geraldine Mixon of Fernandina Beach, FL, Travis Stone of Brunswick, and Bud Stone of Virginia; and many cousins and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place Thursday afternoon (9/10/20) at 4 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Edmund Thrift officiating.   

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday afternoon one hour prior to the service.
