Mr. Gilbert Leon “Gil” Arterbridge, Jr., age 74, of Villa Rica, Georgia, left this earth and those he loved on Sunday, May 29, 2023.
Born August 31, 1948, in Wilmington, Delaware, he was a son of the late Gilbert L. Arterbridge, Sr. and Doris Scully Roop. He graduated from Henry C. Conrad High School in 1966 and attended Goldey-Beacom College of Business and the University of Delaware.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he was an Aviation Electronics Technician and flew as an Air Crew member. He was a Vietnam Veteran.
He worked 32 years for AT&T and retired as a Technical Engineer for Network Planning. He also spent 5 years working for Nissan Motor Company as Internet Manager.
His favorite things were baseball which he played until he was 42, and trips to Florida.
Survivors include his brother, Bruce Arterbridge of Newark, DE; sister, Linda Kellogg of Wilmington, DE; son, Adam Arterbridge and family of Lee’s Summit, MO; 2 daughters, Michelle Bowen (husband Tommy) of Blackshear, GA and Lauren Campbell (husband Lonny) of Paulding, GA; 2 grandchildren, Madison Adair and Landon Adair; and other relatives.
His final request was to be cremated and then scattered at sea.
No public services will be held but he wishes for his friends and family to remember the fun they had together.
