Mr. Henry Joseph McAleer IV, age 78, of Ellabell, GA, passed away early Saturday morning (6/27/20) at the Comfort Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wadley, Georgia.
Born July 22, 1941 in Savannah, GA, he was the only son of the late Henry Joseph McAleer III and Martha Ann Redmond. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Coast Guard. He lived many years in Ellabell and was retired as a plumber/pipefitter with Union Local 188.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sheila Kimker and Sandra McAleer.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mildred Griffin McAleer of Ellabell; 2 children, Theresa A. Walker of Ellabell and Mark A. McAleer (wife Emily) of Savannah; 2 grandchildren, Dalton C. Walker of Ellabell and Caroline Reeves of Savannah; mother-in-law, Elouise Griffin of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will take place on Monday evening (6/29/20) at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
