Infant Melissa Colleen Duenne Rozier

Infant Melissa Colleen Duenne Rozier, 4-month-old daughter of Samuel Robert Lawton and Sharee Lynn Griner Rozier passed away Saturday night (2/22/25) in Tennessee.

Born October 7, 2024, in Waycross, she lived in Graysville, Tennessee for the past three months.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Samantha Lynn Almodova of Waycross; brother, Desmond Odin Lee Griner of Mershon; maternal grandparents, Christine Griner and Terry Griner, both of Waycross; paternal grandparents, Michael Rozier Jr. and Tina Rozier of Mershon; great grandparents, Jerome Griner of Patterson, Michael Rozier, Sr. and Annette Rozier of Blackshear, and Linda Hollaway of Blackshear; aunts and uncles, Shannon Marie Wilson (wife Nikki) of Waycross, Crystal Caylor of Waycross, Scott Rozier of Jesup, Patrick Tullier of Louisiana, Katelyn Rozier of Conway, S.C., and Taylor Brown (husband Thomas Panky) of Graysville, TN; great aunts and uncles, Randall Carter of Blackshear, Kevin Deen of Woodbine, Andy and Kristy Rozier of Blackshear, Jennifer and Chris Knox of Blackshear, Rodney and Jennifer Griner of Patterson, Tonya and John Cedar of Miami, FL, and Michael Griner of Patterson; and several cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Melissa Deen Rozier; great grandfathers, Danny Hollaway, Bobby Deen, and Marbie Griner; and uncle, Terry Griner, Jr.

A funeral service will take place Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.  A private burial will be in the Waters Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Family and friends will be gathering at the home of Michael and Annette Rozier, 3692 Rozier Road, Blackshear, GA 31516.
