Ivan Jackie Crawford, Jr.

Mr. Ivan Jackie Crawford, Jr., age 63, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday afternoon (1/25/22) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following an extended illness.

Born September 15, 1958 in Jesup, Georgia, he was a son of the late Ivan Jackie Crawford, Sr. and Annie Pearl Burke Crawford.  He graduated from Ware County High School but had lived most of his life in Pierce County. He had worked at Holiday Inn in Waycross for 25 years with the Repair and Maintenance Department and then became a self-employed construction contractor.

Survivors include his 2 children, Amy Gay (husband Ricky) and Ivan Jackie Crawford, III, both of Blackshear; 2 grandchildren, Larry Ross III (wife Emily) of Blackshear and Breanna Ross (Brett Boyd) of Waycross; 1 sister, Joyce Sapp of Blackshear; 2 brothers, Danny Crawford (wife Betty Ann) of Kingsland and Don Crawford of Blackshear; his girlfriend, Donna Smith of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday morning (1/29/22) at 11 a.m. at Swamp Road Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Chancey officiating. Burial will follow in the Swamp Road Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday morning one hour prior to the service.
