Mrs. Jackey Mulkey Chapman, age 66, of Patterson, passed away Tuesday night (3/29/22) at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 24, 1955 in Pierce County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Benjamin and Julie Irene Johnson Mulkey. She grew up in Patterson and was a 1974 graduate of Patterson High School. Following high school, she moved to the Atlanta area where she worked in management for 20 years before becoming a machine operator for Janus International in Temple, Georgia. Following retirement, she returned to Patterson in 2018. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Herrin; 3 brothers, Larry Mulkey, Robert Mulkey, and Jim Mulkey; and a brother-in-law, James Sims.
Survivors include her husband, Preston Arrowood of Patterson; 4 children, Lori Chapman (Rafael Bautista) of Woodstock, James Chapman, III (wife Barbara) of Powder Springs, Shelly M. Arrowood and Robert P. Arrowood, both of Carrolton; 4 grandchildren, Gabriella, Emmanuel and Gabriel Bautista, all of Woodstock and Thailar Arrowood of Carrolton; an honorary grandchild, Vera Blake Foster of Patterson; 2 sisters, Fay Sims and Robin Thigpen, both of Patterson; 1 brother, Tom Mulkey of Patterson; a sister-in-law, Linda Chastang of Bay Minette, AL; a brother-in-law, Newbern Herrin of Patterson; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A visitation will take place on Friday (4/1/22) from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
