Mrs. Janiece Blitch Tomlinson, age 65, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday morning (2/18/20) at her residence following an extended illness.
Born March 7, 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Henry Edward and Betty Jo Tomlinson Blitch. She had lived most of her life in Charleston and Savannah before moving to Blackshear several years ago. She was a retired cosmetologist and was a member of Isle of Hope Baptist Church in Savannah.
Survivors include her three children, Wymberley Pfalmer (husband George) of Uvalde, TX, James Gifford of Blackshear, and Thomas Tallent of Summerville, S.C.; 4 grandchildren; her sister, Claire Buchanan (husband Fred) of Barnwell, S.C.; her brother, Tim Blitch (wife Jill) of Lilburn, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A private family service will be held by the family in remembrance of their mother and sister.
Memorialization is by cremation.
