Mr. James L. “Jimmy” Youmans, age 72, of Blackshear, passed away Thursday morning (12/10/20) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House following an extended illness.
Born September 22, 1948, he was a son of the late Ander Eugene Youmans and Susie Oglesby Youmans Thornton. He had lived all of his life in Pierce County and was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father who raised him, Joe Thornton; and 3 brothers, Randall Youmans, Andy Youmans, and Tommy Youmans.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Wanda Youmans of Blackshear; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Danny Holloway of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A graveside funeral service will take place Sunday afternoon (12/13/20) at 3 p.m. at Waters Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
