John Ray Jordan

Mr. John Ray Jordan, age 76, of Waycross, passed away Thursday evening (6/13/24) at his residence following an extended illness.

Born January 22, 1948, in Charlotte, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Robbie Robinson and Johnnie Mae Jordan. He lived many years in North Carolina and South Carolina before moving to Waycross in the early 2000’s. He had been a longtime self-employed contractor as the owner of Jordan’s Construction and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Diane C. Jeffrey Jordan of Waycross; 2 sons, John Thomas Jordan (wife Rossie) of Michigan and Christopher William Jordan (wife Ashley) of Waycross; 2 step daughters, Nicole Lynn Dyches (husband Jay) of Hoboken and Dawn Renee Whitlock (husband Ced) of Hinesville; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Dianne Ferrell of Rock Hill, S.C.; special cousin, Charlotte Ann Wilson of Marshville, N.C.; and several other relatives.

Memorialization is by cremation.
