Mrs. Linda Gail Wolfe Murray, age 74, of Blackshear, passed away early Friday morning (10/31/25) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following an extended illness.
Born October 5, 1951, in Baxley, she was a daughter of the late Benjamine L. and Verdie O’Bright Wolfe. She lived all her life in Appling and Pierce Counties and had been a longtime homemaker. She was a member of The Church of God in Millwood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Eason; 3 brothers, Robert Wolfe, Benjamine Wolfe, and Larry Wolfe; and special friends, John and Sally Strickland and daughter, Rhonda.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Claudie Murray of Blackshear; 3 children, Chris Murray, Crystal Sweat (husband David), and Ron Murray (wife Nina), all of Blackshear; 6 grandchildren, Matthew Murray ( and his mother, Jackie Griner), Brittany Head, Peanut Head, Alexis Sweat, Cash Murray, and Addi Grace Murray; sister, Jeanette Beckworth of Baxley; and special friends, Mona Cisneros and Jodie Dixon, both of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will take place Monday (11/3/25) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Big Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
