Martha Lee (King) Raulerson

Mrs. Martha Lee King Raulerson, age 83, of Toano, Virginia (formerly of Blackshear), passed away Friday evening (5/9/25) at Consulate Health Care of Windsor in Windsor, Virginia following an extended illness.

Born May 16, 1941, in Blackshear, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late William Hampton and Alma Crosby King.  She lived most of her life in Pierce County before moving to Virginia in 2022 to be near her son. A 1959 graduate of Blackshear High School, she was a longtime housewife and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Willard Raulerson; and her brother, William “Buddy” King.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James Hampton “Jim” and Pretzel Raulerson of Toano, VA; 3 grandchildren, Mia Torres, James Torres, and Prescious Torres, all of Toano; sister, Laverne Sims of Blackshear; sister-in-law, Susan Smith King of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place Friday (5/16/25) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the New Home Cemetery in Patterson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service.
