Mary Carol (Yates) King

Mrs. Mary Carol Yates King, age 70, of Jesup, GA passed away early Sunday morning (7/7/2024) at Hospice of South Georgia following an extended illness.

Born July 29, 1953, in Jesup, Georgia, she was a daughter of Althea Murray Yates and the late Charles Augusta Yates. She lived all her life in Wayne and Ware Counties and was a 1972 graduate of Wayne County High School. She was a longtime housewife and a member of Hacklebarney Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Brian King.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Randolph King of Jesup; son, Jonathan King of Jesup; a stepson, Brandon King (wife Candice) of Waycross; grandchildren, Emily Manning (husband J.P.) of Blackshear and Sam King of Waycross; great granddaughter, Brinlee Kate Manning of Blackshear; mother, Althea Murray Yates of Jesup; 2 sisters, Sharleen Blocker (husband Larry) of Loganville and Peggy Smith (husband Bob) of Jesup; brother, Thomas Yates of Jesup; 2 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tim and Janet King of Waycross and Steve and Marie King of Homeland; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will take place Wednesday (7/10/24) at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
