Mary Lounell (Rowland) Passmore

Mrs. Mary Lounell Rowland Luke Passmore, age 83, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday morning (5/31/22) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following an extended illness.

Born October 23, 1938 in Millwood, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Emory Leon and Alice Sweat Rowland. She moved to Pierce County in the late 1950’s and had been a longtime housewife.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford Lee Luke; second husband, Roy Passmore; a son, Hiram Dale Bennett; 2 sisters, Trellis Morgan and Winnie Harrell; and a brother, E.L. Rowland.

Survivors include 2 children, Stanley Luke of Blackshear and Susan D. Luke of Offerman; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Bobinger of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A graveside service will take place on Friday morning (6/3/22) at 10 a.m. at Blackshear City Cemetery.
