Mildred Lovell Obituary

Mrs. Mildred Stone Lovell, age 64, of Blackshear, passed away early Saturday morning (10/5/19) at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville following an extended illness.

Born July 31, 1955 in Blackshear, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Grace Murphy Stone. She was a lifelong resident of Pierce County where she had been a longtime housewife.  She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Rachel Bell, Delphine Bell, and Susie Green; and 2 brothers, Frank Smith and Jerry Stone.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Lovell, Sr. of Blackshear; daughter, Susie Massey (husband Fred) of Blackshear; 3 sons, Ronnie Lovell, Jr. (wife Melissa) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and George Lovell and Matt Lovell, both of Blackshear; 8 grandchildren, Ashley Barry (husband Michael) of Lavonia, GA, Joe Prince (wife Destiny) of Blackshear, Amber Massey of Douglas, Stephanie Godwin and Marcus Godwin, both of Florida, and Blaze, Ryder, and Olivia Lovell, all of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; 2 great grandchildren, Evelyn Barry of Lavonia, GA and Elizabeth Prince of Blackshear; 3 sisters, Barbara Crawford of Bristol, Pat Corbitt of Waycross, and Geraldine Mixon of Fernandina Beach, FL; 2 brothers, Travis Stone of Brunswick and Bud Stone of Virginia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Yvonne Murphy of Blackshear, Earl and Roselyn Lovell of Blackshear, and Mitchell and Gloria Lovell of Sylvester; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place Tuesday morning (10/8/19) at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Edmund Thrift officiating.   Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m.
