Minnie Lee Howell

Ms. Minnie Lee Howell, age 90, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday evening (4/28/2024) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House following an extended illness.

Born January 3, 1934, in Waycross, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Justice Howell. She lived all her life in Ware and Pierce Counties and retired from King Edward Cigar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sarah Thornton and Rynthanell Howell; and 6 brothers, Arthur Howell, Jr., Jack Howell, Robert Howell, Dewey Howell, Rufus Howell, and Toomer Howell.

Survivors include her sister, Ima Jean Bailey of Blackshear; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A graveside funeral service will take place Wednesday morning (5/1/24) at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Waycross with Mr. Clarence Gooden officiating.

The family is gathering at 308 Strickland Avenue, Blackshear, Georgia for anyone who would like to visit with them.
