Mr. Paul Vernon Webb, age 87, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning (4/13/2025) at Satilla Bluffs Senior Care following an extended illness.
Born September 4, 1937, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Paul was a son of the late Vernon E. Webb Sr. and Emily Holland Webb. He grew up in Pennsylvania and lived many years in Rome, Georgia and Moultrie, Georgia and was retired as a city foreman for the City of Moultrie. Paul was a veteran, having served in the United States Army and was a member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Webb.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Martha Webb of Homerville; 3 children, Paul Price Webb of Cocoa, FL, Lori Thompson of Homerville, and Brian Vernon Webb (fiancé Wendy Renedo) of Statesville, N.C.; 8 grandchildren, Jacy Webb (wife Desire) of Merritt, FL, Brean Webb of Statesville, N.C., Trey Thompson (wife Timary) of Blackshear, Tessa Thompson of Brookhaven, GA, Tristin Thompson of Brookhaven, GA, Abbigale Macho (husband Michael) of Senoia, GA, Claire Webb of Statesville, N.C., and Kyle Webb of Charlotte, N.C.; 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Vernon Webb, Jr. of Statesville, N.C.; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A private family memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
