Mrs. Peggy Ann Raulerson, age 81, of Waycross (formerly of Blackshear) passed away early Tuesday morning (2/18/25) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House following a short illness.
Born January 30, 1944, in Bacon County, she was a daughter of the late Seward and Irene Carter Raulerson. She grew up in Pierce County and graduated from Blackshear High School. She lived in multiple cities and countries throughout her life including Italy, Jacksonville, FL and Smyrna, Tennessee before returning to Pierce County in the 1990’s. She had worked various clerical jobs through the years and was a longtime member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid animal lover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Latrelle Moore and Laforest Murray; and 3 brothers, Carnell Raulerson, Edwin Raulerson, and W.L. “Buddy” Raulerson.
Survivors include two sisters, Joyce Walker of Waycross and Delorise Reed of Winter Park, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
