Mrs. Rebecca Stewart Pardon, age 70, of Blackshear, passed away Monday afternoon (12/23/2024) at Hospice Satila Hospice House following a short illness.
Born April 4, 1954, in Waycross, she was the daughter of the late William Archie Stewart, Sr. and Betty Jean Morgan Stewart. She lived most of her life in Pierce County and had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in several prisons including in Waycross, Folkston, and Nichols and at several mental health facilities. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, WA “Buddy” Stewart, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Tommy Pardon of Alma; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted and Charlotte Stewart and Jeffrey and Nickie Stewart, all of Blackshear; niece, Rebecca Stewart Brown (husband B.J.) of Blackshear; nephew, Matthew Stewart of Waycross; aunts and uncles, James and Alyce Roberson of Blackshear, Glenn and Betty Morgan of Hawthorn, FL, Elender Morgan of Nahunta, and Marilynn Morgan of Hoboken; and several other relatives.
A memorial service will take place Friday (12/27/2024) at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Thrift officiating.
