Robert Wayne Blankenship

Mr. Robert Wayne Blankenship, age 65, of Blackshear, passed away Wednesday morning (5/21/2025) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following an extended illness.

Born June 11, 1959, in Tampa, Florida, he was a son of Bertha Smith Blankenship and the late Robert Rubin Blankenship. He lived most of his life in Florida before moving to Pierce County in 2020. He was a longtime steel detailer and retired from Steel and Metal Systems, Inc in Blackshear.

He was a member of the Rack and Stack Hunting Club in Scotland, GA and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Lana Allen Blankenship of Blackshear; 4 children, Traci Blankenship of Houston, TX, Ashley Blankenship of Tampa, FL, Michael Stokes of Ocala, FL, and Heather Price of New Hampshire; 8 grandchildren; his mother, Bertha Smith Blankenship of Cairo, GA; sister, Priscilla Strickland (husband Robert) of Cairo; and several other relatives.

A time of visitation and remembrance will take place Saturday morning (5/24/25) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home.
