Mr. Samuel Chad Herrin, age 38, of Patterson, passed away Wednesday evening (9/22/21) at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup following an extended illness.
Born July 3, 1983 in Blackshear, he was a lifelong resident of Pierce County and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Felicia Herrin of Patterson; 4 children, Dalton Lane Herrin of Parris Island, S.C., Abbie Brianna Herrin of Cookeville, TN, Ashton Griffin Herrin of Blackshear, and Kai Parker Herrin of Patterson; 1 grandson, Lavon Tayven Jones of Cookeville, TN; his mother and step-father, Teraina and Jerrid Ragsdale of Patterson; his father, Samuel Herrin of Blackshear; siblings, Janice Marie Strickland (husband Joseph) of Blackshear, Elizabeth Pauline Herrin of Patterson, Ronnie Cleveland Herrin of Blackshear, Dana Lynn Flowers (husband Tom) of Perry, GA, Jessica Rene Lutke (husband John) of Meansville, GA; Jason Lex Ragsdale (wife Haley) of Blackshear, and James Lee Keene (wife Keisha) of Nashville, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will take place on Monday (9/27/21) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with Rev. James Lightsey officiating. Burial will follow in Waters Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening (9/26/21) from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
