Obituary
Mrs. Sharon A. McClain Kersey, age 78, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday evening (1/29/23) at Harborview Pierce County following an extended illness.
Born January 8, 1945, in Dothan Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Alexander McClain and Erma Louise Cumerford Hansford. She lived in Fort Myers, Florida and in Camden County for many years before moving to Pierce County in 2016. She was a retired retail clerk for Wal-Mart and was a Christian.
Survivors include her two daughters, Theresa Thomas (husband Keith) of Moultrie and Pamela Haney (husband Mike) of Blackshear; 3 grandsons, Stephen Waldee (wife Melissa) of Simpsonville, S.C., Brian Kirkland of Moultrie, and Eric Kirkland (wife Abby) of Trussville, AL; 5 great grandchildren, Marilyn Waldee, Michael Waldee, Hilton Waldee, Elliot Kirkland, and Taylor Bowles; 2 sisters, Edna McAfoos of Jacksonville, FL and Barbara Godshall of Kentucky ; brother, Wayne Maddox (wife Kathy) of Brandon, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorialization is by cremation.
