Mrs. Shirley Jane Dixon Moseley, age 72, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday morning (7/20/24) at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital following a short illness.
Born April 9, 1952, in Blackshear, she was a daughter of the late Donald Edgar and Eldys Marie Denison Dixon. Living all her life in Pierce County, she was a 1971 graduate of Blackshear High School. Over the years, she had worked at a sewing factory, the Kroger Fuel Center, and at Wal-Mart in Waycross. She was a member of Hacklebarney Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Thomas “Tommy” Moseley, Jr.; a grandson, Joshua Thomas Moseley; and a sister, Barbara Jean Roberts.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Ciera Moseley of Blackshear; daughter, Amber Leverett of Raybon, GA; 7 grandchildren, Madison Moseley, Addisyn O’Berry, Madisyn O’Berry, Karlee Anderson, Annzlee O’Berry, and Brentlee Anderson, all of Blackshear, and Taylor Johnson of Nahunta; 2 sisters, Janis Dixon of Hortense and Gina Albritton (husband Jerry) of Blackshear; brother, Dennie Dixon (wife Bertha) of Blackshear; 2 nephews, Bryan Clark (wife Renee) and Edgar Dixon (wife Christy), both of Blackshear and Jason Patrick of Freeport, FL; 2 nieces, Christy Crawford of North Carolina and Sally Clark of Blackshear; and several other relatives.
A funeral service will take place Tuesday morning (7/23/24) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Foster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
