Stanley Raymond Dixon

Mr. Stanley Raymond Dixon, age 52, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday morning (7/29/23) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following a short illness.

Born November 13, 1970, in Blackshear, he was a son of Sammy and Nancy Bowen Dixon. He lived most of his life in Pierce County and was a 1988 graduate of Pierce County High School. He attended Troy University in Troy, Alabama and was in the marching band.  He was retired as a convenient store manager and district manager and of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Miram Dixon and Jack and Mae Bowen.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his 3 siblings, Chris Dixon (wife Denise) of Pearson, Traci Hardy (husband Chris) of Nashville, TN, and Kandi Turner (husband Reese) of Blackshear; nieces and nephews, Bowen Dixon, Lilah Dixon, Kara Hardy, Will Hardy, Caleb Lairsey, Jayk Graham (wife Allie), Ganon Graham (fiancé Amber Cason), and Rahli Turner; 4 great nieces; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins and other relatives.

A memorial service will take place Monday evening (7/31/23) at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at Shiloh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to the service.
