Tammy Lorraine Walker

Mrs. Tammy Lorraine Walker, age 62, of Waycross, passed away Thursday evening (8/27/26) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born February 15, 1964, in Blackshear, she was a daughter of the late Owen William Walker and Lorraine Manning Campbell.  She lived most of her life in Pierce, Ware and Bacon Counties and was a long-time homemaker.  She was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Stephen Jeffers; stepmother, Maryann Hensley Walker; 2 sisters, Teresa Walker and Laura Walker; and 2 brothers, David Walker and Ray Walker.

Survivors include her 3 children, Renee Counts Guy (husband Ben) of Blackshear, Clint Counts of Athens, and Michael Counts of Waycross; grandson, Owen Conway Counts of Blackshear; a sister, Wanda Gail Smith (husband William) of Villa Rica; a brother, Wilbur “Billy” Walker of Alma; and several other relatives.

Memorialization is by cremation.
