Mrs. Teressa Ann Curl Mobley, age 60, of Blackshear, passed away Monday morning (11/6/23) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following an extended illness.
Born August 21, 1963, in Fort Benning, GA, she was a daughter of Edsel Floyd Curl and the late Joann Knowles Curl. She was a 1981 graduate of Bacon County High School and lived most of her life in Alma and Blackshear. She was a longtime assistant manager and cook at Mobley’s Sandwich Shoppe in Blackshear.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Terry L. Wright.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse Mobley, Jr. of Blackshear; 1 son, Matthew Edwin Mobley of Alma; 1 daughter, Vanessa Ann Mobley of St. Simons Island; daughter-in-law, Michelle Wright of Blackshear; father, Edsel Curl of Alma; brother, Mitchell Curl (wife Jamie) of Alma; nieces and nephew, Sarah Curl, Sadie Curl, and Logan Curl, all of Alma; 2 aunts, Shirley Harrell of Douglas and Barbara Peacock (husband Walter) of Alma; 5 sisters-in-law, Betty Barber of Manor, Gwen Clark of Blackshear, Diane Stanfield of Blackshear, Susan Mobley of Blackshear, and Bonnie Williams (husband Rev. Thomas) of Dixie Union; 3 brothers-in-law, Jeffrey L. Mobley (wife Tammy) and Ricky Mobley, both of Blackshear, and Perry Mobley of Lakeland, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A graveside funeral service will take place Saturday morning (11/11/23) at 11 a.m. at Campground Methodist Cemetery in Bacon County.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
