Mrs. Thelma Woolard Bradley Williams, age 95, of Blackshear, passed away late Sunday night (2/6/22) at the Jonesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
Born November 4, 1926 in Nassau County, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Steven W. and Myrtle Conner Woolard. She grew up in Folkston and graduated from Charlton County High School. She moved to Pierce County in the 1950’s and was a longtime homemaker.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear and attended the Alert Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Lawrence Bradley; her second husband, Shelton Swift Williams; 2 sons, Leland Bradley and Jimmy Bradley; 2 sisters, Bobbie Woolard and Estelle Lewis; and 4 brothers, Eldon Woolard, John Woolard Lum Woolard, and AJ Woolard.
Survivors include 2 sons, Truman Bradley of Fayetteville and Marshal Bradley (wife Bernice) of Woodbine; 5 grandchildren, Jason Bradley (wife Kathy) of Blackshear, Michelle Blackburn (husband Bobby) of Waycross, Sarah Kilmer (husband Matthew) of Warner Robins, Joshua Bradley (wife Jessica) of Senoia, and Jeremy Bradley (Julia Mayfield) of Atlanta; 7 great grandchildren, Jeb and Cooper Bradley, Cadyn and Kelsey Kilmer, and Gabe, Shelton, and Stella Bradley; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday morning (2/12/22) at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Boatright and Chad Nimmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
