Mr. Van Colby Knox, age 38, of Waycross, passed away Sunday (3/22/2026) at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.
Born May 5, 1987, in Waycross, he was a son of Tina Louise Davalos Knox and the late Terry Joe Knox. He grew up in Green Cove Springs, Florida and Palatka, Florida and attended Palatka High School. He moved to Waycross and was working as a machine operator, mechanic, and welder for the Rayonier-Offerman Chip Mill.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cleo Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Kylie James Knox of Waycross; 4 children, Emilee Boyd, Colby Gauge Knox, Braylee Moon, and Brendon Moon, all of Waycross; his mother, Tina Louise Davalos Knox of Waycross; step-mother, Judy Knox of Palatka, FL; 5 siblings, Robert Knox (wife Angela) of Waycross, Carmelia Knox (husband Nicholas Ford) of Tampa, FL, Donnie Rowland (girlfriend Amber Matthews) of Waycross, Marina Morris (fiancé Lewis) of Waycross, and Jessica Raby of Palatka, FL; his aunts and uncles, Pamela Landrum, Debbie and Chris Avery, Craig and Betty Sue Knox, and Karen and David Lanier; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
A memorial service will take place Friday (4/10/26) at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
