Mrs. Wanda Louise Dean Boyette, age 67, of Waycross, passed away Saturday afternoon (2/15/20) at the Orange Park Medical Center in Jacksonville following an extended illness.
Born September 21, 1952 in Waycross, she was a daughter of the late Peter Clarence and Grace Louise Thrift Dean. She lived most of her life in Ware and Pierce Counties and was a 1970 graduate of Waycross High School. She received a degree in Respiratory Therapy from the California State College and was retired as a respiratory therapist from Memorial Hospital (now Memorial Satilla Health) in Waycross. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Paulk; and 2 brothers, Edward Dean and Claude Dean.
Survivors include her husband, William Spencer Boyette of Patterson; 2 children, Phillip Morris (Amanda Hood) of Waycross and Misty Smith (husband Derrick) of Blackshear; 8 grandchildren, Austin Morris, Braden Morris, Christina Hood, Maia Beverly, and Madison Fisher, all of Waycross, and Matt, Kearston, and Jaxon Smith, all of Blackshear; a sister, Peggy White of Waycross; 2 brothers, Junior Dean (wife Wanda) and Roger Dean, both of Waycross; a sister-in-law, Madge Dean of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will take place Thursday afternoon (2/20/20) at 1 PM at New Life Assembly of God with Rev. Andy Peacock officiating. Burial will follow in the Kettle Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
